In cooperation with the Hydrogen Energy Industry Committee (HEIC) of the China Energy Conservation Association (CECA), GIZ organized the network roundtable “Empowering Women in Climate Action” under the framework of the Sino-German Energy Partnership on 24 March in Beijing.

Experts from industry associations, companies, research institutes in China’s energy sector and climate action areas, as well as legal consultancy gathered and had an exchange on measures and solutions to empower women from political, social, academic and economic aspects.

The event took place under the Women in Green Energy initiative launched in December 2020 by GIZ, Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET), Women in Green Hydrogen Network, and other Chinese & international organizations under the Sino-German Energy Partnership. The initiative aims at connecting and empowering female professionals in China’s energy sector, fostering women’s potential and contribution to accelerate the far-reaching energy transitions in both countries.
