12th Meeting of the Sino-German Working Group on Energy
On 11 July 2024, the 12th annual meeting of the Sino-German Working Group on Energy between the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the National Energy Administration of the PRC (NEA) took place in Berlin.
Mrs. Ursula Borak, Deputy Director General for Bilateral and Regional Climate and Energy Cooperation of the Foreign Economic Policy department of BMWK, and Mr. XIONG Minfeng, Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Department of NEA headed the meeting.
Both sides reviewed the Sino-German cooperation activities and achievements on energy in 2023, agreed on the work plan for 2024, and expressed their strong commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. BMWK and NEA agreed on deepening the exchange and cooperation on energy transition topics including energy laws and frameworks, electricity market, power systems, distributed renewable energy, sustainable heating, hydrogen and energy storage. The cooperation would further contribute wisdom and strength to the global energy transition.
